The Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) isn’t just an event; it’s a movement that has redefined how technology drives progress. For over 26 years, this iconic platform has been at the forefront of uniting innovators, industries, governments, and global communities to tackle challenges and craft solutions that shape a better tomorrow.
In its 27th edition, BTS 2024, hosted by the Department of E, IT, and Bt, Government of Karnataka, takes center stage from November 19-21, 2024, at the iconic Bangalore Palace in the heart of India’s technology capital. This year, the spotlight is on the transformative power of technology to propel economic growth that serves people, protects the planet, and fosters shared prosperity.
The summit embodies the spirit of collaboration, offering a unified platform that brings together GIA nations, industries, academia, and R&D. With 50000+ global exhibitors, 80+ conference sessions, 500+ trailblazing speakers, and vibrant multi-pavilion exhibition halls, BTS 2024 is more than a tech event—it’s a crucible of cross-sectoral, cross-border, and cross-community innovation.
This year, the Department of E, IT & BT, Government of Karnataka, and MMActiv partnered with Spread Design and Innovation to create a bold call to action, visual vocabulary and experience design for BTS, Asia’s largest tech conclave.
An aside, this was in fact Spread’s second innings with BTS, with its first avatar, named BengaluruITE.biz, being conceived and designed by the team in 2017.
The theme
#Unbound
Spread has partnered with Govt. of Karnataka and MMActiv to conceive, design and launch a call and a movement for tech in Karnataka to be Unbound. Creating the communication, media assets and a vibrant experience for the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024
Spread’s journey began with a singular insight, “breaking boundaries in tech and innovation, Karnataka is ready. To be unbound!”
The State of Karnataka, India, has invested significantly in knowledge and talent. To evolve beyond Industry 4.0. Unite humanity and tech. Set technology free with human thought. To innovate and generate infinite possibilities.
Result, 46 unicorns, India’s largest AI Talent Pool, 460+ GCCs, 150+ Incubators and accelerators. The world’s 4th largest Tech cluster.
Where else but in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India where the State Government, institutions, investors and the people have come together in a unique PPPP (People Public Private Partnership), to create the world’s largest ecosystem for innovation at scale.
Only a theme and a call like Unbound could bring alive the scale and impact of this innovation ecosystem, for the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024.
Unbound, thus, was chosen as the theme for Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024.
Proudly expressed as ‘Apaara’ in vernacular Kannada. As a bold call to action, launched by the Hon’ble CM, DCM and Minister for E, IT, and BT and RDPR, Govt. of Karnataka over a gala breakfast meeting with innovation leaders from across the nation and the world.

Spread’s inspiration was the Art x Tech Verse. We created a gallery of larger than life characters that diffuse, suffuse and infuse the experience with a look and visual vocabulary that makes BTS 2024 feel Unbound.
Designing a tech show which is about possibilities for people, planet, profit unbound, presented artistically. Bringing it to life as installations, dynamic digital assets, giveaways, Tshirts and cool, youthful event merchandise.
The Experience
Immersive, Larger than Life
The grand arch welcomes you as soon as you arrive at BTS 2024, with lights playing in a harmony of colors.
Next, you come to the Pavilion, where installations of the BTS characters greet you, offering many a photoworthy moment. Giant trees become hotspots to exchange ideas and possibilities.
The Dream Tree calls you, to tag your dreams and absorb the dreams of others.
Then you walk through the portal to find yourself in a world of innovation and tech, entering the Bangalore Palace, where technicorns, innovators, investors and leaders from the world of tech run unbound.
The experience at BTS 2024 immerses you, nudging you to answer the call within, to be unbound!
The Gifts
Craft Unbound
BTS 2024 is truly the convergence of Art and Tech. Where skilled human hands and indigenous knowledge of generations found the global platform. Collaborating with the women of Sandur Kushala Kala Kendra, Spread designed and developed a unique Angavastram as Karnataka’s gift to distinguished guests, delegates and dignitaries from across geographies.
The Films
Karnataka Unbound
Now, it was time to bring BTS 2024 alive on the big screen. The Spread Film and Design teams came together, crafting the narrative, curating, creating and editing dynamic visual assets and a powerful sound track to spread the call from Karnataka to the world to Be Unbound.
When innovation touches the lives of millions of people from a cross section of the society; from flower sellers, to daily commuters, to fliers, to Namma Yatri drivers, to students, to the elderly, to the next gen, real magic happens. That’s when boundaries are broken…and life is unbound.
